Burlesque dancer Katrina Darling is adding some American flair to her titillating, royally themed dance act. Darling, 21, a distant cousin of Kate Middleton, is incorporating a Lady Liberty-like tribute including a fiery climax into her performance for two planned spicy shows dubbed “Royal Dreams” at Vikram Chatwal’s Dream Hotel in South Beach Aug. 31 and Dream New York Sept. 6. The dancer, who made her first trip to the US in March, is learning to breathe fire for a hot ending to her show. “I have a friend teaching me,” she told us, adding that she began working with “small wicks made from cotton and lighter fluid” and has been “building my confidence to bigger wicks and bigger flames.” Darling admits: “I am by no means a master yet … I was a little worried for my eyebrows and hair.” “Royal Dreams” will be co-hosted by Patricia Field, DJ Miss Guy and fellow Brit rocker-model Jamie Burke. Darling will also be featured nude in the September issue of Playboy.
